How was Beirut in 1991? Tanino Musso’s archive reveals a cult documentary capable of big emotions. Upon the invitation of the Lebanese writer Dominique Eddé, the photographer Gabriele Basilico (1944-2013) takes part in the project of the Solidère Foundation, the aim of which was to show the world the devastation caused by 15 years of war in the centre of Beirut. With his Sony 8 mm Handyman Videocamera, the Rai Tg‘s correspondent Tanino Musso record Basilico’s movements in the empty streets of the city.
