Belgian interior designer and architect Maarten Van Severen (Anversa 1956- Gand 2005) can be defined as designer of essential. Active in the mid-80s, he has created a series of furniture characterized by simplicity and use of basic materials such as aluminum, steel and leather. In this movie, the complex figure Van Severen, Rem Koolhaas collaborator, is delineated through the story of the tumultuous family life evidenced by his four sons, who are confronted with many of same professional challenges faced by their father.
